Sarah Philbrick-Djerfi BSW, MSW, RSW

Sarah is a seasoned therapist with over a decade of experience in trauma-informed and inclusive counselling. She works with adults, couples, and families across Ontario and online, specializing in:

  • Trauma recovery and PTSD

  • Neurodivergent support (ADHD certified professional, autism, learning differences)

  • Couples, polyamorous, and ethical non-monogamy support

  • Sex therapy and intimacy counselling

  • First responder mental health and burnout

Sarah blends evidence-based approaches—including CBT, ACT, DBT skills, Narrative Therapy, Polyvagal Theory, Attachment Theory, and Trauma Informed Care—with creative and expressive modalities like art therapy. Her approach is collaborative, warm, and client-centred, providing a safe space for growth, resilience-building, and authentic self-expression. Committed to ongoing professional growth, Sarah engages in regular supervision and advanced training to ensure her clients receive competent, ethical, and compassionate support. Sarah also supports others in caring professions by providing training on how to support neurodivergent clients and on how to implement Trauma Informed Care into care and supports. Sarah has immeasurable experience facilitating groups to support uniformed personnel, neurodivergent individuals, and caregivers.
